It depends on the shield box size. With a standard 800 millimeter width shield box, maximum sample size is 12 inches. There is no weight limit as long as it can be brought in the shield box.
Without a shield box (tripod set-up for on-site measurement), there are no limitations to sample size and weight (minimum sample size is the same as the X-ray spot size).
